MYS Welcomes Thembela Mavuso, Channel & Product Marketing Manager
by Madison Frye on July 10, 2023
Map Your Show welcomes Thembela Mavuso as the new Channel & Product Marketing Manager. She will be working closely with our partners and based in our Cincinnati office.
Thembela graduated with her bachelor's degree in Commerce and Marketing from the University of Swaziland. Shortly after graduating, she started her career path in Marketing, Fundraising, and Public Relations with JA Worldwide and later Inyatsi Construction Group Holdings Pty, LTD. It wasn't long before she found herself in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she worked as a Campus Recruitment Coordinator for Tata Consultancy Services. She then continued her career development at the University of Cincinnati, graduating with a Master's in Marketing from the Lindner College of Business.
After venturing off to the PNW for a couple of years and continuing to expand her experience in Marketing and Development at Rebuilding Together Seattle and the Alliance for Pioneer Square, Thembela and her family moved back to Cincinnati. She is excited about FC Cincy games, reconnecting with old friends, and enjoying some dearly missed local food favorites. In her downtime Thembela enjoys the occasional road trip, growing her collection of vinyl records, discovering new restaurants, and traveling to spend time with her family in Swaziland. She is currently rebuilding her plant collection post-move and clocking in as many hours by the pool as she possibly can.
Jerry Gildea, MYS CSO, expressed enthusiasm for the new hire, "We are excited to have Thembela as a new addition to the Map Your Show team. She will be focused on working closely with our channel partners. She has a fantastic ability of building genuine and long-lasting relationships, as well as vast experience in many different aspects of marketing. I know she will make an enormous impact on the MYS Sales and Marketing teams alike."
